What is the Heritage Camp Experience?

We call it a “camp” because we leave the familiar behind to experience a different reality. But at its heart, this is a cultural festival. Through a unique collaboration with local leaders, we curate an immersive program that showcases the community’s unique heritage. You won’t just watch from the sidelines; you’ll participate in the daily rhythms, philosophies, and crafts that shape African identity.

What to Expect on the Trail:

  • Live Music Sessions: Join the Olobo Royal Band and learn the soulful art of traditional instruments, with a special focus on the flute.
  • Hands-on Local Food: Don’t just eat—cook. Take part in sessions where we prepare and learn the secrets of traditional local dishes.
  • Cultural Dance & Classes: Watch breathtaking performances from local groups, then hit the “dance floor” to learn the steps yourself.
  • The “Meet & Greet”: A rare, intimate opportunity to sit with the community’s oldest woman, hearing stories and wisdom passed down through generations.

  • No Camp Fee: The Heritage Camp experience is completely free of charge (T&Cs apply).
  • Only 30 Slots: We are keeping this cohort small—15 male and 15 female participants only.
  • Undisclosed Location: To protect the community and the magic of the surprise, the location is only revealed to confirmed campers.
