The Crossover Camp

A multi-day cultural expedition that blends outdoor adventure with cultural immersion. Taking participants into host communities to close the year, and open the next with an appreciation for their own heritage.

The Story

Cross into the new year inside a living African tradition.

The Crossover Camp invites people from all ages and backgrounds into host communities for hands-on learning and communal living, with lots of activities and deep cultural exchange with elders, cultural custodians, and even peers from other cultures and regions. As the year turns, we mark the moment together. Not in a club, not online, but inside the traditions and relationships that have always defined who we are.

In Their Words

From past campers

"I will never forget the experience of my first camping as an adult. Plus, I got to propose to the love of my life there, and now we are married. It is a memory written in my heart and I enjoyed every bit of it."

"I had travelled a long distance to embark on this amazing adventure. It wasn't my first, but it was my best. The daily bonfire, the meals, the shared stories, karaoke, yoga and game sessions were highly engaging. These memories will live with me forever."

"For me this trip was a game changer. I was sceptical about coming, but all thanks to Olobo for making this experience one among my favourite memories that will be cherished forever. I met amazing people full of love and life. Let's do this again soon. Energy like yours needs to be studied, Olobo. Thank you."

"This camp is how I know I'll have an amazing year. The catch is nature, camping surrounded by nature, water, trees, locals, beautiful weather. I've camped a lot of times but this one is always one to look forward to, and the food! It's always amazing. You get to be your real self here, and the vibe is always 100 every damn time."
